A white robed farmer sporting a magnificent handlebar moustache and topped by a bright crimson turban prods and pokes fifty ugly beady eyed sheep of assorted patterns of shabby white and black.

Laughing girls draped with bright sari’s swish fresh besoms sorting the dust of a morning yard. Smart school boys say goodbye to their fathers and trek to school. A Tuc Tuc intrudes the narrow bright kaleidoscope of the lanes of the bazaar.

Rajasthan is about colour, some organised chaos, dusty roads, impromptu adventures round the next corner, bustling streets, markets at dawn, hazy sunrises and red sunsets on the Thar desert.

We’ve carefully considered all the elements that will ensure you leave India with more diverse images than you could possibly desire without packing too much in.

“Most of my photos are grounded in people, I look for the unguarded moment, the essential soul peeking out, experience etched on a persons face.”

Steve McCurry

12 days exploring and photographing towns, villages, deserts, sunrises and unique experiences in one of the worlds most colourful and busy places – Rajasthan!

Widely known as one of the most colourful states in India, Rajasthan has so much to offer anyone with a sense of adventure.

We’ve selected sites that we have personally visited and experienced and rather than follow the usual ‘route’.

Along with our trusted travel partners (Snowlion Tours PVT) in India, we have designed this workshop with the true photographer in mind.

With epic landscapes, bustling markets, medieval architecture, a rich history and heart-warming culture.

At every turn you’ll find something to photograph and document your time there; and we’ll be on hand to help nurture your skills to capture every moment in its raw, true essence.

It is an ideal location for a hands-on lesson in photography and storytelling.

Our tour to Rajasthan has been carefully designed to mix learning with exploration, combining the two together to create a truly unique experience.

The sheer breadth of photographic opportunities creates the perfect classroom to practice, experiment and capture some awe-inspiring images that will last a lifetime.

And with additional learning on post-processing and fine art printing, we can help you master the art of photography in its entirety.

As with all our photography-based tours, there is always an emphasis on developing each individual photographer.

We ensure we keep our tour group sizes small, so that we can offer valuable one on one tuition time to develop each pupil.
